Sugar Cane and Bananas

Tons of sugar cane and bananas are grown in Australia.

The cane develops a pink flower when it matures.  Sugar cane take almost a year to grow before it can be harvested.

                                      Bananas are much cheaper at roadside fruit stands.

                                        Back in the day....this is how the cane was collected.  They now have small trains that run beside the cane fields that pull wheeled cages that the cane is loaded onto.
