Ayers Rock

We drove through the hot, dusty outback just to see a gigantic, granite rock!!  And let me tell you, the trip was well worth it!!  Ayers Rock is a magnificent piece of mother nature.  Actually, the piece of rock you see above the ground is much smaller than what lies below! 

 The flies are so bad in some parts of the outback that some people buy these fly hats.  The flies don't bother with food that is out, they want to go for your eyes and nose in search of moisture!
