Trekking To See Dragons

After our snorkel trip, the Paradise Divers boat took us to one of the islands where the Komodo Dragons live.  There are four islands the dragons live on in Indonesia...Komodo, Rinca, Gili Motang, Flores, and Padar, and they grow to a length of about 3 meters long.  They are big and scary and can be dangerous!!  We entered Komodo National Park with a guide and trekked over to the camp kitchen where the dragons hang out.  This was a wee bit hokey, and I was hoping for more, at least to see them in the wild... I guess I was hoping for a bit more National Geographic!! 

 And now for the trekking part...this took about 15 minutes...but we dragged it out taking pictures!!

Rinca Island is really quite pretty!
