Geraldton, Western Australia

We arrived in Geraldton, small city of about 40 000, which is about a five hour drive north or Perth.  We were immediately were impressed by the waterfront, architecture, and laidback feeling of the community.  We found a campground and decided to stay for two days.

 St. Francis Xavier Cathedral
The Esplanade...a beautiful walkway along the beach.
 Sculpture of indigenous art.
 Geraldton beach

This long boat that was recreated by high school students.  Back in its day the longboats were used as tugboats, and also to carry goods back and forth from ships.

The Old Gael which now has dual use as a museum and also craft store.
