Last Remaining Days in Quito

This is the Basilica del Voto Nacional.  It sits high on a hill in Old Town Quito.  It is a massive gothic church that was built over serveral decades beginning in 1926.  Turtles and iguanas protrude from the church´s sides.  You can climb the church´s towers to the topand get a great view of Quito.

We has a delicious supper in Old Town Quito.  I ordered a traditional meal.  It consisted of beef, salad with avacadoes, a type of potato pancake with 2 fried eggs on top, and rice.  Very Tummy!!

Enjoying our last get together with our friends.  We all depart at different times for different destinations tomorrow.  Our American friend left earlier today.
