Lake Wakatipu

Lake Wakatipu is shaped like a thunder bolt, has a shoreline of 212km, with an average depth of 320m. Our accommodations is at the south end in Kingstown, Queenstown is in the middle, and Glenochy is at the northend. Being a mountain lake, it is non to warm to swim in! If any one watches "Top of the Lake" it is filmed around Queenstown and Glenochy doubles as the fictitous town of Laketop.
