Karamea

From Westport, we travelled north to the small community of Karamea, population 380. It is a relaxed town that considers itself paradise. But, not to us!  It's too small!  The beach is deserted, and the ocean wild and woolly! If you are a bird geek, hiker extraordinaire, or want to get away from it all...maybe this is the place you want to come. We stopped briefly to have a picnic lunch.
