Portuguese Ship

The Portuguese invaded Malacca from 1511 to 1641.  An old sunken Portuguese ship from that period was found, retrieved, and made into a museum.  It is a beautiful boat, and I would love to see it on the water with its magnificent sails!  But, I can't imagine crossing the ocean in a boat like this!

 This is a model of one of the first boats to be used in this area.
