Yass Valley

Canberra, the capital city of Australia, is housed in the Yass Valley.  There is a lot to see and do in this region!  The valley is full of sheep farms, horse ranches, cattle farms, vineyards, cellar doors(provides you the opportunity to sample the vineyard's wine), Small, interesting, quaint, towns, beautiful sites, and twisty narrow highways.  The capital city has also a lot to offer.  Or course it is the political hub of Australia, but it also has many cultural opportunities for its visitors and residents, there are museums and galleries galore, and lots of shopping!

The way the government buildings are set up remind me a lot of Washington D.C.  Both cities are in districts, and the buildings are lined up using a large piece of land called a mall that people can walk up and down, with museums, art galleries, and gardens flanking the sides.

The countryside of Canberra is full of wineries.  We visited a few.
