Dee Why
Our first sun burn came with our visit to the community of Dee Why, and its beautiful beach. A long, wide beach that has fine white sand which is pebbled with pumice( igneous rock that is made from super heated, highly pressurized rock that is violently ejected from a volcano, and then is rapidly cooled and depressurized which creates bubbles in the spewed lava). We found ourselves a spot on the beach, lathered up with sun block, and enjoyed a short stay. We then walked over to the pool which was located beside the ocean. We discovered that many beaches come with large pools that are filled with ocean water. It is impossible to swim in the ocean because of the wave action, so pools are supplied for those types of activities.
