We made our way to the parking lot to find Rich, our bed and breakfast host, to be waiting for us. He quickly packed us into his vehicle, and delivered us to his home. He lives in a quaint 100 hundred year old home, that is decorated with articles from all over the world. It is very interesting!! Rich has traveled a lot, making our few quests look juvenile. He is hospitable, kind, and accommodating. We immediately felt at home! And the bonus is, he has a beautiful, and adorable dog who loves pets and attention!
We felted exhausted, and tried to rest, but to no avail. I was too sore, and tight muscled to allow any relaxation to set in. We walked to the mall to pick up a few groceries, and a pair of shorts for Hoss. We have heard that Australia is very expensive, and found that to be true with many items in the mall, but lots of items we found to be priced very similar to Canada. After visiting Asia, Southeast Asia, South America, Central America, these prices are a bit hard to take, but Australia has been a dream of ours, so we just have to bite the bullet! All the groceries we bought were in line with Canadian prices except for the watermelon, 1/4 of a large watermelon cost us $8.50 Australian. The Aussie dollar is a tad weaker than the Canadian.
After a supper of roast chicken, green beans, potatoes, a glass of wine, and watermelon for dessert, we hit the hay early. Sleep finally arrived at 8:30pm and we woke up refreshed and ready to go the next morning at 6:00am.
A beautiful setting for morning coffee !
A few pictures of the bed and breakfast we are staying.
