Clark Quay

Clark Quay is a unique, conserved historical landmark that's located along the Singapore River and the edge of the Central Business District. Five blocks of restored warehouses are occupied by a variety of restaurants and nightclubs. There are also moored Chinese junks that have been renovated into floating pubs and restaurants. It's an interesting and busy location for locals and tourists to enjoy some food and drinks along the Singapore River.

                                       Clark Quay by day....

                                        and then by night

We decided to try the famous Singapore Sling which was developed by bartender, Ngiam Tong Boon, sometime before 1915, at the Long Bar in Raffles Hotel. It is a very sweet drink, and not to our liking, and it cost us $36 for two drinks! Yikes!
