Santa Prisca

We've been to this restaurant before with good friends of ours, Marie and Randy, so we jumped at the chance to go again when invited by our other friends...Claude, Lynne, Laura and Dave. The food is divine, and the atmosphere is celebratory. There is always a band playing and the complimentary appetizers are almost enough to fill you up before the hearty meal you've ordered arrives. The restaurant is known for its pozoli, a type of soup made from hominy, which is extremely filling. This time round we knew better and ordered way less food. We shared a bowl of pozoli and a plate of tamales. For some odd reason this restaurant is only open on Thursday afternoons. Get there early if you want a table.
