The Country Town of Northam

The small, historic town of Northam, with a population of around 8 000, lies about 100km northeast of Perth.  We pulled into this sizeable town looking for a grocery store, and discovered some of the downtown streets blocked off because of a car race.  We said heck to the groceries(we will get them later) and headed to the races.  It is called the Northam Flying 50's, because they race vintage cars.  It was quite interesting, and was a nice way to spend part of the afternoon!
