Making Our Way Home

We said our goodbyes to Catlin and Jess, wishing them well, and to take care of themselves, as we take our leave for the long trip home!  This year we planned our route home a bit different.  We did it slower, bumping our way home, hoping the jet lag won't be as difficult.

Our first leg of the trip was from Perth to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  We landed around 10pm and our stay at the airport was going to around 10 hours, but we discovered a small hotel in the secure area of the airport that rents out rooms by the number of hours you stay.  We took the minimum amount which was 6 hours.  We walked through the restaurant, and lounge, where we found a hallway that led to the rooms.  Our room was much nicer than I was anticipating.  The decor was modern, and sleek, with no windows, and included 2 large sized twin beds, a TV(that we didn't watch), a large bathroom, storage for your clothes, and an alarm clock( a wake up service was also offered).  The beds were super comfortable and I sunk into bed and slept like a baby until the alarm rang at 5:30am.  This was so much better than a seat in the airport lobby!!
