Home We Go!

This is our last day in Perth, and I have mixed feelings about leaving. We leave our son, daughter-in-law and grandson Wyatt behind, while returning home to see our other son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren. The youngest grandchild, Max, will be a month old when we arrive home, and we are so looking forward to meeting him and reconnecting with family! And, we will see Catlin, Jess, and Wyatt very soon as they will be coming home for a visit this summer!! It will be wonderful to have everyone together! It's been a long two years!

Elizabeth Quay Perth

Our days are quickly coming to an end in Australia, so Hoss and I decided to have lunch at Elizabeth Quay located in Perth's CBD. It's a lovely area which we have made a habit to visit each time we are in Perth. The weather was warm and sunny, we had a delicious lunch, and we walked quite a few steps while checking out this area of Perth(over 15,000).

Development is still going on. We see growth every time we visit.

A lovely footpath along the water's edge.

Birthday Number 1

Jess and Catlin decided to host Wyatt's first birthday celebration a bit early so that he could share it with both sets of grandparents. It was a fun family birthday party with cake and presents, and so much love, joy, and happiness!

Easter

Because of Catlin's work schedule, we delayed Easter so that he could be home to celebrate Wyatt's first Easter, plus we wanted him to make his delicious gammon ham. Catlin has turned out to be quite a chef! We had a wonderful day filled with family and food!

                                      What a goofy dad!

The Lego tradition continues! Our boys loved Lego, and still do, and now our grandchildren are turning onto Lego maniacs!

Caversham Wildlife Park

Caversham is a wonderful place for anyone who enjoys wildlife, walking, and wonder. It's not only a zoo, but also a park where people can barbeque, walk, swim, visit an art museum, have a coffee, eat at the restaurant, take a trolley ride, or rent one of the park's funky bikes.

It was wonderful to see Wyatt's first zoo experience. He was engaged and well behaved for such a little tyke. It was a wonderful day. So much joy to see the world through a babie's eyes!

Time for a stretch, a nappie change, and a game of peek-a-boo.

This Brahma bull gave us all quite a fright with his loud bellowing.
