Hostel Wunderbar Wilderness

The hostel we are staying at is located in the jungle.  Everyday we are exposed to the sights and sound of plants and animals.  It is truly wonderful, in that respect!!  When we first got here the young daughter of the owners showed us a hummingbird nest with  two eggs.  Each egg is the shape and size of a tictac.

                                       The neighbours have a captive howler monkey! Poor guy!

This place is very beautiful, raw, and rustic, but there is unfortunately way too much garbage strewn around.  We often walk down this highway to get to the small town of Puerto Lindo which is only 200m away.

One day when we we walking down the highway, Hoss spotted these large ants carrying pieces of leaves.
