Kalgoorie...The Gold Rush!!

After completing our golf, we toured Kalgoorie's gold mining industry, past and present.  It found it all to be very interesting, from the huge super pit that is currently being mined to the museum that shows what gold mining life was like when Paddy Hannan first discovered gold in this area in 1893!

 Kalgooie is a nice town with beautiful old buildings.

 Canada has Dollar Stores, Australia has The Reject Shop!

 It is hard to see in the picture, but this is a shaft miners would crawl down to get into the gold mine!  Not for me!!
