Spice Market

Delhi's Khari Baoli is Asia's largest spice market. It came into being during the 17th century, dating back to the Mughal era, and has now turned into a treasure trove of spices. It feels as if little has changed for centuries in Delhi's fabulously atmospheric, labyrinthine spice market, as labourers hustle through the narrow lanes with huge packages of herbs and spices. The colours are wonderful...red chillies, yellow tumeric, green cardamons, and there's so much spice in the air I couldn't suppress my sneezes. You can select from a variety of both local and exotic spices. Hundreds of traders and buyers gather in the market for trading their wares. India is truly the land of spices. What a wild and crazy place.
