What The Heck is Steampunk????

Steampunk is a quirky and fun genre of science fiction that features steam-powered technology. It is often set in an alternate, futuristic version of 19th century Victorian England. The steampunk future is driven by unusual steam-powered devices such as the vehicles you read about in H.G. Wells, and Jules Verne, and TV shows like Dr. Who.

Steampunk HQ is more than just a wonderful old historic building. These stone walls preserve many curious contraptions and secrets, trinkets, curios, artifacts, fantastic engines, creatures, and visual transmissions from other realms. Pretty cool! Weta Workshop even donated a boat they created for Russel Crowe's movie "Master and Commander".

Much more was seen inside the building, but was to dark to take pictures...except for the infinity room that is done with mirrors and lights shown below.
