Ridge Meadows Private Golf Course

We hit the links at a private golf course that is only booked for family and friends. It is a 9-hole par 3 course set in a gorgeous location on the edge of Calgary. We were quite impressed with the course.... and of course....had loads of fun!

Jade, a friend of Kelsey and Addison's, arranged our t-time and joined us for golf. We also celebrated her birthday!

Drumheller's Hoodoos

The infamous Drumheller hoodoos are fragile, tall, eroded pillars of sandstone that sit on a thick base of shale topped with a resilient piece of rock top that protects the sandstone. The term hoodoo originates from the African Hausa language and has been incorporated into lore of various First Nations(Blackfoot and Cree people), that contended the Drumheller hoodoos were petrified giants that came to life at night to protect the land.

Into The Jaws of a T-rex

Drumheller is a touristy town featuring dinosaurs. One of the attractions, for a cost of $5, takes you up a couple of flights of stairs, and into the jaws of a t-rex. It's provides a great view, and photo op.

Barney's Adventure Park

After being in the museum all morning, we spent the afternoon outdoors at Barney's! What a wonderful park for families! The grandkids got to slide, jump, run, bounce, spin, ride, and interact with animals to their hearts content, and then venture into the world of dinosaurs! Grandma and Grandpa had trouble keeping up!!

Looking a bit exhausted after our morning!

                                                       Panning for fossils and gems!

Finally, a bit of a stop for refreshments!

This male peacock and his misses watched the kids as they raced around on their bicycles.

This part of Barney's Park was like stepping into a Jurasic Park movie. All the dinosaurs were animatronics. It was fun to watch the kids as the dinosaurs roared and moved!
