The End is Near!

The sad time has arrived and our visit with Catlin, Jess, Wyatt, Booker and Caesar has quickly come to an end. We leave Australia on April 24, and arrive in Melville on the 25th. We have had a wonderful winter, exploring the sun and sand in different locations. As I look at my weather app I see we will be greeted back home to much cooler temperatures. We will turn up the heat in the house and settle into a different routine. I am ready to go home and dearly miss our other son Addison, his wife Kelsey, and grandchildren Kaiden, Halie, and Max. We will have ballgames and soccer games to attend, and I'm sure we'll have sleepovers with the grandkids! I can hardly wait! We will see Catlin and his family in three months when they come home for a visit. We have a wonderful summer to look forward to with our whole family being together once again.

We have a trip planned to Europe in September! Until then....Adios!

Our Daily Walk-About

Our daily walks have occasionally included Caesar, Catlin and Jess's beloved Groodle.

On occasion we see a few reptiles. This is a skink, and Caesar pay no mind to the creature, but we were quite interested.

New Foods

Six month old Booker has lately been introduced to some new foods and flavours. The latest flavour has been cinnamon and his face tells it all!

He much prefers veggies and fruit flavours with his oatmeal.

Early Celebrations

We celebrated a bit early, so we could give Catlin and Wyatt their birthday gifts and Booker his Welcome to the World gift while we were still in Australia. The grandkids got toys and the son got beer glasses. Everyone was happy!

Daddy's Boy

No words are necessary! This picture melts my heart!

Easter...Aussie Style

We had a wonderful Easter celebration, and of course it's always more fun when children are involved! Hunting for Easter eggs is always a blast!

Wyatt found out that he had to look closely to find the paper eggs.

The paper eggs were exchanged for chocolate eggs, and we soon found out that Wyatt was an egg thief, snatching chocolate eggs from his little friends when they weren't looking!

This is the woman who planned the egg hunt for the children. This space will eventually be turned into a community garden.

Wing Night

Wing night has become a tradition with Catlin and Jess. Catlin makes the best wings we have ever tasted. He does them on the barbeque....such a treat!

Busy Life!

One forgets how busy life is with wee ones!!

Birthday Boy!

We had an early birthday celebration for Hoss so that Catlin could be in on the fun, due to his work schedule. We had a great hamburger supper on the patio at a nearby restaurant that was relaxing and enjoyable. What a nice evening we all had!

Homelife in Mullaloo

Our days are filled with joy being with family, and marvelling at the growth and learning taking place within our grandchildren. Changes are happening daily and rapidly. Wyatt's vocabulary is growing by the day, and he is fiercely independent, which sometimes worries Grandma! Booker is now very aware of his surroundings and loves eye contact. The boys are happy, cheerful little individuals, and they keep us on our toes! We have constant entertainment from these two!
