For a bit of a change-up we took a day trip to the small, sleepy town of Puerto Vincent which lies 86 km south of Zihua. The road was windy, and with steady traffic, and with a few interesting stops it took us a couple of hours to get there. Our visit was on a week day so the town was very quiet, as opposed to the weekends which are busy. This quaint town is very small with only around 550 inhabitants. Restaurants dot the small bay which has water breaks to calm the surf. We had a lunch, walked around, and then headed back to Zihua. We had a very nice day.
Our first stop of the day was a great little campground. It made us feel like we should buy a motor home and travel around.
A if camping isn't your thing, you can always rent a room.
Our next stop was an ocean front restaurant which has been open since the mid 80's, with the delicious aroma of home cooked food on an open fire, and killer views!

Our destination....Puerto Vincente.... soft sand, and crystal clear calm water.
