Heading Home

After Trudeau stated that new covid19 rules for travelers would be implemented starting February 22, 2021, we decided to pull the plug and head back home. We were very leary about the quarantine hotel stay, and the amount of money it would cost us. Me, being pretty tight, didn't want to spend the money. So we booked flights home with American Airlines from Zihua via Phoenix to Calgary, with an overnight hotel stay, and flight to Regina the next day. We had our CPR test done at a clinic in Zihua, and had our results emailed to us 36 hours later. We packed up, went out for supper on our last night with new found friends, Wendy and Pat from Alberta. The trip home was long, but thankfully uneventful. Friends of ours had a vehicle waiting for us at the Regina airport, and home we went. With winter still gripping the prairies, we turned up the heat in our house before leaving Calgary, so we were greeted to a warm house, fridge and cupboards stocked with groceries supplied by our daughter-in-law Kelsey, a hot shower, and inviting bed. And that's a wrap to our 2021 travels. Very short, but sweet, filled with great experiences and memories. I'm already planning for the next trip around the world!
