Barra de Potosi

Barra de Potosi, which is a small fishing village, lies about 26 km southeast of Zihuatanejo, on the far end of Playa Larga which seems like an endless, palm-fringed, sandy white beach at the mouth of the brackish Laguna de Potosi, a saltwater lagoon about 6.5km long and home to hundreds of species of birds. So far, very little development has happened in this area making this beach very special and serene. We had a wonderful relaxing and quiet afternoon, away from the busy beehive of Zihuatanjeno.

We rented kayaks and spend an hour paddling through an inlet and back to the lagoon.
