Las Sendas Golf Club

We met up with friends of ours, Debbie and George Wilson, to have a good visit, and a round of golf.  They own a home in Mesa in the Las Sendas area, so they booked a tee time at the course they belong to.  The visit was great and the golf game challenging.  We had a great day, and ended it off with dinner at their home, and more visiting around their backyard pool.

Phoenix Bike Week

We happened to hit Bike Week, but it's not near as busy or as big as Sturgis Bike Week!

Birthday Boy!!

We celebrated Hoss's birthday with golf lessons, dinner at The Yard House, a restaurant in the entertainment disrtict in Westgate, and then a hockey game with the Coyotes vs the Canuck's.  It was a fun day!!

The Arizona desert is beyond beautiful!!   Breathtaking sights!!

Sedona, Arizona

Sedona is an Arizona desert town that is surrounded by red rock buttes, steep canyon walls and pine forests.  It's climate is mild and has a vibrant arts community, New Age shops, spas, and art galleries.  On the outskirts there are numerous bird watching, hiking and picnicking spots.  It feels very much like Banff or Jasper.

The Drive to Quartzsite, Arizona

Quartzsite is a small desert town in Arizona north of Yuma.  Not much is there unless you are a rockhound, or want to camp out in the wilderness!  Yikes!! Get me out of here!!  But the desert is gorgeous!
