Emanuel's Annual Pickleball Tournament

We volunteered for Emmanuel's annual pickleball tournament which ran for 3 days. We had loads of fun and lots of laughs with great people!

Emanuel, the reason why pickleball is so huge in Zihua!

Emanuel and his wife Ana hosted a party for all players and volunteer's at the end of the tourney at their home. Last year they built 6 courts which also include a full kitchen, fancy coffee machine for morning players, and full bar with bartender, Luis, for evening players. And, after all your play, if you need a shower, that is also available!

And of course there was table dancing!

The party raged on until 2am with pickleball play, music, and dancing.

Pickleball Celebrations

One of our favourite families in Zihua are the Morelos's. Aline and her parents, Victor and Miriam are beautiful people with hearts of gold! Aline, who is 14, is a fantastic player, and was chosen to go to India to play in a tournament as a pro. A huge fundraiser was held to celebrate her success. All three head to India today for the tournament. Go get 'em Aline! The pickleball community in Zihua is cheering you on!!

Beach Time With Friends From Home

Haha! With busy lives, sometimes you have to have your get togethers with long time friends in Mexico! We met Sherri 3 decades ago when we crashed a party in Lemberg. Her son, Austin, and our son, Addison, have been best buds since Grade 1. We had a great visit catching up on each others lives!

We have known this great gal for a few years. We had a wonderful visit over a delicious caprese salad and tasty pizza at this little restaurant called Cocina Aroma Italiana.
