Hello Australia!!

The two legs of our flight were fairly comfortable, but we still arrived in Perth exhausted. Catlin was there to pick us up, and it was a fairly emotional greeting on my part, and I was extremely happy to finally be able to hug my son! It's been a long two years!! The last visit to Australia was March of 2020, and since then a new baby has been added to the household, as Jess and Catlin had a baby boy 9 months ago, and named him Wyatt.

The house is full! Two sets of grandparents, a set of parents, and a very alert and active child has changed the quiet and serene atmosphere the household once was! We are all very happy!

Time To Say Goodbye

It's been 4 months since we first arrived in Zihuatanenjo, and the time has passed by quickly. We said our goodbyes to many people, packed up our belongings, and flew to Vancouver in preparation for our flight to Australia. Our layover in Vancouver was a full day, so we opted to stay the the airport hotel, and with a late checkout, and hotel luggage storage, we were able to ride the sky train into Vancouver's water front area to pass the afternoon by. Once there, we walked over to Canada Place and because of the rainy weather we decided to take in a show called Fly Over Iceland and Fly Over Canada. We were greatly impressed by this experience. The is labelled the Ultimate Flying Ride and it takes you across the vast wildernesses of both countries, dipping, turning and soaring through the sky. It was both exhilarating, and amazing! After the show, we walked to the Cactus Club Cafe for a delicious supper, and then back to the airport to catch our flight for the long journey across the Pacific Ocean to Australia.

Some of Our Favourite People

Our last beach day was at Las Gatas with some good friends. Once again we had a good visit and lots of laughs with the blonde sisters, Bev and Heather, and longtime friends Randy and Marie.

Longtime Friends That are Very Dear to Us

Childhood friends from home arrived the other day. They are staying in Ixtapa, but cabbed it over to Zihua for an evening of visiting, food, drinks, and laughter. What a wonderful evening!

Marie and Randy...they are staying in Zihua very close to us.

And then there is all of us!

Pickleball Pool Party

We our last remaining days in Zihua, we were finally able to host a party with some of our pickle ball friends.

Hoss having a visit with some of our neighbours that live in the same building as us.

                                              Eline and her mom Meriam

                                         Tracy, Victor, and Dave

                                               Dave and Shelley

                                      Valeria and Eline

The littlest party attendee was too tired to participate in all the festivities.

The menu was chicken asado(roasted chicken), caesar salad, marinated veggies, and potato salad. Our Mexican friends loved the caesar salad and Emanuel loved the potato salad.

Beach Village

Our little beach is drastically shrinking! We are down to one umbrella and 2 chairs. Plus, the beach is very quiet.

Spring Fair

For the first time while in Zihuatanejo, we attended the Spring Fair in Barra de Potosi. It was larger than I anticipated, and was thoroughly taken in by all the vendors, food, and musicians. Many people were in attendance, and we had a wonderful time. We also went home with a few purchases.

We met up with many fellow pickleball friends taking in the joys of the Spring fair.
